When a charming deaf Pit Bull named Evie kept gazing at an old truck, her owner, Allison Thomison, didn’t pay it much attention.
Living on a 300-acre ranch in the countryside of Arizona, it was normal for Evie to encounter a wild creature like a rattlesnake or Gila monster that would catch her restless gaze.
However, when she wouldn’t divert her sight from the truck Thomison’s spouse was repairing, her human chose to go and check it out.
Stunning Revelation
Thomison didn’t even need to fully approach the truck to discern what Evie was focused on.
Evie was staring at a tiny cat! Moreover, to Thomison’s astonishment, she recognized exactly who this feline was.
A few weeks prior, Thomison had observed a small kitten trailing her cat, Noodle, wherever he went – and they appeared to be identical!
However, as Noodle was a neutered male, Thomison was uncertain whether their resemblance was a mere coincidence or if they were genuinely related.
Regardless, Thomison opted to name the kitten Mini-Me, and just like he had appeared on their Arizona farm, Mini-Me vanished again until Evie unearthed where he had been hiding all along.
Hide And Seek
As the truck was undergoing repairs, the entire engine was removed, which meant that there was ample space for a small kitten to get cozy.
Naturally, coaxing Mini-Me out of his newfound residence was somewhat challenging. He was quite wary of Thomison and made it evident that he had no intention of moving out any time soon.
“He was quite feisty … Then he suddenly realized we were there to assist him and we had no intention of harming him, so he emerged,” Thomison shared with The Dodo.
Mini-Me is now a member of the farm family who, as per Thomison, enjoys creating mischief.
Fortunately, the kitten enjoys spending time with Thomison’s other three cats, and she humorously claims that Evie discovering him in the truck is actually the tale of how she acquired another feline!
Yet, even though it was Evie who uncovered him, he still isn’t particularly keen on her.
“He swats at Evie every opportunity he gets,” Thomison noted.
A Cat’s Nature
Mini-Me has become a cherished member of a family that ensures he has all he requires, including his personal nook in a climate-controlled barn.
However, as he is a cat, he does not take kindly to being instructed on what he ought to do or where he should be.
“He favors his truck. He’s somewhat akin to Oscar the Grouch [with] his little trash can … he just adores being in there,” Thomison concluded.
