This Washington Pittie mix endured several challenges before encountering her new family. She faced severe neglect from her previous owner, who then heartlessly abandoned her in an alley and left her there.
Although Jelly hasn’t had a straightforward beginning, she continues to choose love every single day!
Left In A Dire State
The rationale behind Jelly’s abandonment remains uncertain to this day. Nonetheless, her new mom speculates that her illness may have been the cause for her being left behind.
At that time, Jelly was extremely ill and suffering from digestive issues. Rather than providing care, the owner chose to abandon her instead. Isolated and frightened in the world, Jelly struggled to adapt to her new reality.
Fortunately, she didn’t have to wait long to be rescued.
“She was incredibly sick at that time. She struggled to digest her food. I believe this is why she was abandoned. Had she not been discovered that day, the outcome may have been dire,” Jelly’s momma shared with GeoBeats Animals.
Upon her arrival at her new residence, she was quite apprehensive and timid. It took her a full month to emerge from her shell and begin trusting her new family. However, once she navigated through that phase of her journey – she blossomed into the most affectionate lovebug!
Jelly, the Pittie, couldn’t be more thankful for her new family.
In just one month, she had entirely transformed her life and gained a wonderful community of lifelong friends who loved her without conditions.
She Has Everything She Ever Desired
When Jelly joined the family, her mom already had two other dogs. Initially, she planned to foster her, but this charming Pittie girl quickly captured everyone’s hearts. It became unthinkable to envision her in a different home, prompting the family to keep her.
This was the first time Jelly experienced a sense of belonging alongside her older doggy sister, Nala, and her brother, Banzai!
She was essentially the baby sibling whom everyone looked after. Nala and Banzai were incredibly protective of her, taking on parent-like roles to ensure she remained both clean and sweet!
“Both Banzai and Nala exhibit strong maternal and paternal instincts towards Jelly. When she was just a puppy, they were diligent in ensuring she was clean and dry,” her momma states.
Nonetheless, Jelly’s utmost favorite individual in the world is her dad! Even though she promptly runs to her momma when she’s anxious or desires attention, it’s her dad who proves to be the ultimate playmate.
“My husband is her favorite person because he’s her greatest playmate,” Jelly’s mom adds.
It’s safe to assert that Jelly enjoys the ideal little life in her new environment in Washington! She embarks on endless escapades with her family, engaging in the most amusing “conversations” with the neighbors’ dogs, and has everyone and everything centered around her!
After a day filled with activities, she even experiences vibrant dreams that make her quite comical to watch!
Having overcome all her struggles, Jelly is now a cheerful and carefree pup who wouldn’t exchange her life for anything! She has all she has ever desired, and even more.
Her family is immensely grateful for her presence!
