I realize we probably shouldn’t be chuckling, but seriously! How can anyone refrain from laughing when you spot one tucked away in the corner, fully aware that he has misbehaved.
Guilty pups bring me immense joy. Nothing enhances my day quite like a collection of amusing clips showcasing dogs feeling guilty as charged.
Occasionally, they nibble on house slippers. Other times, they obliterate garbage bins.
But, each time, they cause me to burst into uncontrollable laughter and I bet you might feel the same way!
Denver, The Trailblazer Of Guilty Dogs
You’ve undoubtedly encountered Denver before, but we must give her a well-deserved acknowledgment.
Sadly, Denver departed this world at the age of 14, in 2018. Nevertheless, we can’t forget the moment she chewed through a bag of kitty treats.
Upon the owner’s return, he discovered the notorious bag and immediately turned to the other dog, Macy. Unsurprisingly, Macy was oblivious to what had transpired. Her naive, innocent expression betrayed nothing.
However, the owner knew precisely where to locate the genuine perpetrator. It was Denver, without a doubt.
Trapped, with her ears drooping and eyes clenched shut, Denver was unable to even gaze at the chewed treat bag positioned right under her nose. She was fully aware of her guilt.
Denver gifted her owner a wide grin as if to communicate: Yes, it was me… my apologies, dad. I’m not exactly proud of it, but I simply couldn’t resist.
Harley, The Footwear Bandit
Those were brand-new slippers. The owner didn’t even get the chance to wear them. But, Harley was unconcerned with that. The scent of fresh fabric and the softness felt delightful to him.
He utterly destroyed the slipper, leaving nothing behind to salvage!
I guess he owes his owner a new pair. But, judging by the expression on Harley’s face, he would much prefer to forget about the entire incident.
Harley couldn’t evade the well-deserved scolding. Attempting to back away slowly didn’t yield any success either. All he could do was remain motionless with his head bowed, accepting the lecture.
She Admonished The Wrong Dog
Can you picture arriving home to find a mess with bathroom trash scattered everywhere? The only potential culprits are your two dogs, and one of them is notoriously mischievous.
What course of action do you take?
You chastise the usual suspect, of course. That’s precisely what the lady in this footage did. She stated that she yelled at her dog, Erica, as per her routine when Erica misbehaves.
Yet, poor Erica merely sat on the sofa with an innocent demeanor, genuinely unaware. If she could speak, she’d declare: I have no clue what you’re referring to.
Still, someone else had a clear understanding of what unfolded.
Lina, the German Shepherd, was concealed in the corner, clearly feeling remorseful. However, it wasn’t Lina’s expression that exposed her.
Lina had the trashcan lid trapped around her neck! She acted as if it was her chic new collar.
What trash can? I have no memory of rummaging through the refuse.
One Adorable Bandit
Jackson had quite a severe sweet tooth problem.
That fateful morning, when his family stepped out, Jackson feigned that he would remain in his kennel, patiently waiting for their return.
Little did the family realize that Jax relished fabricating tales of good behavior. Every time the family would leave, Jax would break free from his kennel and roam freely around the house.
But, it wasn’t entirely Jackson’s fault that he devoured the salted caramel chocolate. The humans ought to have been more cautious. Poor little fellow simply couldn’t resist the utterly delectable treat.
When his mother returned and discovered the empty chocolate box, she needed to confront him.
Naturally, Jackson acted foolishly as if he had no guilt whatsoever. He barely glanced at the chewed chocolate wrapper and gave it a casual sniff, as if to convey: This thing? I’ve never seen it before.
Jax put on quite the show, but his little human sister couldn’t rescue him from the consequences. Mother placed him in timeout and he promptly complied.
Sorry, Jax… dogs shouldn’t really consume chocolate, especially not a special salted caramel piece that mom had saved solely for herself.
No Feeling Of Guilt Whatsoever
Mieka, the Weimaraner, threw her owner a dramatic side-eye for reprimanding her.
Apparently, the owner returned home to find one of his slippers mangled. Unsurprisingly, Mieka could only be the prime suspect. No one else would dare to touch his cherished slippers.
Mieka behaved as though she felt absolutely no remorse.
One could almost hear her thoughts: So what, human! What’s the big deal!
O-Oh, Caught!
This mischievous little thief was caught in the act attempting to sneak into a kitchen cupboard.
The advantage is, dogs lack thumbs, so they have great difficulty opening anything. Additionally, it’s fortunate he was discovered.
Poco, the naughty pup in this footage, became completely still the moment his mother spotted him. The poor dog likely thought to himself: If I remain perfectly still, perhaps she won’t perceive me.
Unfortunately, dogs aren’t conjurers, are they Poco? It’s pretty tough to overlook you, little buddy!
Furry Partners In Crime
Did you realize it takes two dogs to gnaw through a shoe insole?
One pup chews the insole while the other keeps watch to ensure the owner remains unaware.
Of course, dogs will be dogs, and they can’t conceal their wrongdoing. The owner discovered the destroyed insole and was far from pleased about it. Clearly, he had to confront the two leading suspects: a Dachshund named Oddie and a Pitbull named Senor.
Neither could face the owner. Oddie maintained a neutral expression, attempting to feign ignorance about the insole’s existence.
And what about the other dog?
Seems he was the actual perpetrator since he turned away, too remorseful to even glance at his handiwork.
This wasn’t the first occurrence of Senor and Oddie teaming up. Evidently, this is a frequent caper for them, and their owner usually never has two identical slides or flip flops.
Senor and Oddie are truly among the most guilt-ridden-looking dogs you may ever encounter.
