How heartbreaking it is to witness a dog being compelled to leave its cherished home after so many years?
These small, four-legged bundles of fur appearing so bewildered and sorrowful while attempting to adjust in a shelter truly shatter my heart!
And, not long ago, it shattered once more when I discovered Jade’s tale!
After over a decade with a caring family, this black canine lady lost the one place she adored the most. Her family couldn’t care for her as they had become homeless, and now, Jade found herself in the same situation!
She seemed utterly defeated as she had to ‘bid’ farewell to her comfortable existence. Jade endeavored to acclimate to her new surroundings, which consisted of a four-walled kennel, yet with no success.
Then, as her hopes started to diminish, a miracle in human form came along!
Abandoned At The Shelter Permanently
The compassionate individuals from Philly Rescue Angels, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, did all they could to ensure their facility was as inviting as possible for Jade.
Still, at the age of fourteen and lacking any experience with shelter life, there was very little they could achieve.
“Jade is a gentle senior who was surrendered to a high-intake shelter when her owner lost their home. Being 14 years old and a black bully breed, we were aware that her chances of surviving were minimal,” the rescue shared on Instagram.
